2021 We Care Wednesday:
Despite the global pandemic we managed to continue fundraising every Wednesday throughout 2020 and donating 5% of our sales to nonprofits doing essential work in our community. We had grand hopes for 2020 and kicked things off with a large scale fundraising event with Knit Beyond Borders for those affected by the Australian wildfires. (Why yes, those happened in 2020 which seems like a full decade ago.)In December of 2020, Mariame Kaba, activist and organizer announced the #Warm4Holidays challenge which Virginia immediately cast on a hat for. And then proceeded to knit four more. One of the organizations accepting handcrafted...
2020 We Care Wednesday: Movement Voter Project
In 2020 we asked the gather here team if there were any nonprofits that they would like us to feature in our monthly We Care Wednesday initiative. 2020 January We Care Wednesday: Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal
UPDATE: We donated $650 to the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal! Thank you for helping us kick off 2020's We Care Wednesday initiative! We also helped raise an astounding $10,081 USD through our work with Knit Beyond Borders. That was divided as follows: $5,541 to @seedmob and $4,540 to @wireswildliferescue. Thank you to Christine Chitnis for letting us assist with this important fundraiser!
