Refund policy

Our Refund + Exchange policy is good for 30 days which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. We offer a full refund for returns initiated within 14 days of receiving your item and a store credit within 30 days of receiving your item.

Non-returnable items: Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on some items unless they arrived damaged.

  • cut to order fabrics
  • unwound (balled or hand rolled) yarns
  • spools of thread
  • embroidery floss
  • books
  • patterns
  • gift cards
  • downloadable software
  • 'Sale' (Discounted) items
  • Shipping costs

We're happy to accept returns on pre-cut fabrics like fat quarter bundles, still wound yarns and unopened notions as long as the return is made within 30 days of the item's receipt.

Studio time & Classes:
Studio time & Classes are eligible for a store credit up to 72 hours before the Studio time or Class meets. Please email us with the Studio time and Class cancelation details.

Change of payment fee:
There is a 15% fee for changing the form of payment. (This does not apply if the original payment was cash.) Some examples would be:

  • refunding one credit card and charging another credit card
  • refunding a credit card and using class credit

Note that this will result in 115% of the original invoice being charged to the new form of payment.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. The standard restocking fee in this situation is 15%.
Any item where the return is started more than 14 days after delivery.

Refunds:
We offer a full refund for returns initiated within 14 days of purchase and a store credit within 30 days of purchase. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a few days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Replacing a defective item
We will replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at orders@gatherhereonline.com. You may also need to send your defective or damaged item to: 1343 Cambridge Street, Cambridge MA, USA 02139.

Gifts 
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a store credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a store credit will be issued.

If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we'll send the refund to the gift giver and they'll find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item (unless the item was damaged, defective or incorrect). Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, shipping will not be included.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
