The Important Stuff

Free Shipping:

We offer free shipping on orders over $100, to anywhere in the United States.

Please note that sewing machines & classes do NOT count towards free shipping.

Local Delivery to Camberville:
We now offer delivery to Cambridge and Somerville. Delivery is $5.95 and orders over $75 will be delivered for free.
Deliveries are made on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Order pick up:
When you arrive, you can just come into the shop to pick up your order. Please have your order # ready when you arrive (& remember to share it with anyone that you send to pick up for you).

Processing times for ALL orders is 24 to 48 hours.
In the event there is a problem with your order, you will be contacted by email or phone.

The Details

Our shipping rates are flat rates, based on the location we are shipping to, and the level of service you choose.

Domestic shipping times:
We ship using USPS when we can. Standard shipping times for USPS First Class & Priority packages are between 1 to 5 days.

Orders are shipped from our shop in Cambridge, MA please take that into account when estimating time in transit.

Here is an explanation of our shipping levels:

    • We cannot guarantee next day delivery
  • Canada: 5-7 business days

STANDARD SHIPPING

In the USA, delivery should take 3 - 7 business days. In Canada, this is about 1 - 2 weeks. Internationally, you should expect 1-3 weeks.

**FOR INTERNATIONAL PACKAGES - EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO KEEP THE SHIPPING RATE AT THE USPS INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY RATE. HOWEVER, THIS RATE CAN ONLY BE USED WHEN PACKAGES FIT INSIDE THE ENVELOPE PROVIDED BY USPS. IF YOUR PACKAGE DOES NOT FIT, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED AND CHARGED FOR THE DIFFERENCE BEFORE THE PACKAGE SHIPS. INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY PACKAGES ARE NOT INSURED & GATHERHEREONLINE.COM CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKAGES THAT DO NOT REACH THE CUSTOMER.**

International customers - we cannot mark packages as "gift" as this is illegal.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING
In the USA shipment will be second day air (this is two business days). In Canada, expect delivery in 5 - 7 days. Expedited shipping is not available internationally.

***Unfortunately expedited shipping is not currently available outside of North America.

Our shipping rates are FLAT RATE, and will not change depending on weight or size (although some oversized products will have an additional shipping fee). Match the destination with the shipping level to find the rate that applies to you.

SEWING MACHINE RATES

Bernette sewing machines will ship for a flat rate of $35 to anywhere in the United States.

Note that sewing machines do not count towards free shipping. 

OVERSIZED PRODUCT RATES

Large or bulky items will ship for an additional $20 to anywhere in the United States.

Note that these items do count towards free shipping. It's just that there is an additional charge associated with them. Remember, classes do NOT count towards free shipping.

Domestic shipping times

Standard shipping times for USPS First Class & Priority packages are between 1 & 4 days.

Orders are shipped from our shop in Cambridge, MA please take that into account when estimating time in transit.

Returns

Our Refund + Exchange policy is good for 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on cut to order purchases, unwound (balled or hand rolled) yarns, thread, books and patterns. We're happy to accept returns on pre-cut fabrics like fat quarter bundles, still wound yarns and unopened notions as long as the return is made within 30 days of the items receipt.

Additional non-returnable items:
Gift cards, Studio time cards, Classes & Downloadable software products.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item where the return is started more than 14 days after delivery.

Refunds (if applicable):
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Replacing a defective item (if applicable)
We will replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at orders@gatherhereonline.com. You may also need to send your defective or damaged item to: 1343 Cambridge Street, Cambridge MA, USA 02139.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we'll send the refund to the gift giver and they'll find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
