We know you’ll love yours just as much, which is why we offer free “meet your machine” workshops in-studio with every BERNINA or bernette sewing machine purchase. Unbox it in the shop and we’ll teach you how to thread it, wind a bobbin, and operate it.
Our full-time sewing machine technicians are always ready to help in-house if your BERNINA or bernette needs some extra support!

We are a fabric and yarn store and sewing studio in Cambridge, MA, specializing in natural fibers, sustainably-produced tools and notions, and BERNINA/bernette sewing machines. Ever since gather here owner Virginia B. Johnson inherited a Bernina 930 from her grandmother in the 1980s, she’s been inspired by the belief that everyone has the power to make something.
Our sewing, knitting, and crochet classes are offered in a welcoming, inclusive environment for all crafters (and of all levels and abilities). We are proud to be Filipina-woman-owned and woman-operated.
