Chambray + Denim

Chambray and denim are similar (both are woven with colored warp and white weft yarns), but they’re not exactly the same. Chambray uses a plain weave while denim has a twill construction (the warp thread goes over two threads before going under one). Typically, you will notice a lighter color to the underside of a denim fabric.
