UPDATE: Thanks to your generosity we raised $500. We also donated a bernette Sew & Go to a family in need! A few months ago a nurse from Riverside Community Care reached out to us to inquire if we would be willing to donate our machine repair services to cleaning and oiling a machine donated to a refugee family. We jumped at the chance to assist in their efforts. Because of that first inquiry we learned more about this non-profit and are currently working with them to donate a bernette to a recent immigrant who sewed to support her family...

Meet Kayleigh - Craft Associate

In late summer of 2021 we realized that now that the shop was actually open seven days a week and the rush of fall and holiday crafting was on the horizon that we needed in-person support. Molly and Virginia zoomed with Kayleigh, who loves all sorts of crafts and is an awesome illustrator, too, AND had recently relocated to the area. Kayleigh's experience at a big box craft store meant they had experienced holiday rushes (the likes we probably will never experience) and massive restocks and could navigate themselves around a variety of crafts and skill levels. March 2022 We Care Wednesday

UPDATE: Thanks to your generosity we donated $750! We struggled selecting the March We Care Wednesday recipient. Current events have been overwhelming, at home and abroad. Greater Boston PFLAG's mission is to advocate for and advance equity and societal affirmation of LGBTQ+ people by building and strengthening loving families, safe communities, and a diverse and inclusive society. Greater Boston PFLAG offers help for LGBTQ+ youth, their families...

You may be wondering what the heck the Incubator is. Well, this 200ish square foot storefront was created as part of Commonwealth Alternative Care's renovation of 1385 Cambridge Street. Some of you may know that part of the the CAC's community plan was carving out space for retail or art. One of our focuses has always...

UPDATE: Thanks to your generosity we donated $750 AND donated 75 pairs of socks! For the last five years, Mayor Siddiqui and Vice Mayor Mallon have organized a sock drive for CASPAR/Bay Cove. Mayor Siddiqui and Vice-Mayor Mallon started the sock drive in 2018 after witnessing firsthand the critical need for wool socks during their visit at the CASPAR/Bay Cove Shelter at 240 Albany Street. They hope to gather 2,500 pairs of wool socks this February. In an effort to support this initiative we are not only asking the community to donate directly to CASPAR but to also knit wool...
