We Care Wednesday: Huron Veterinary Hospital

Makers for Families

As you all know, we believe that how we operate our business (what we sell, how we promote our products, who we represent and how we represent them, and the stories we tell through what we make) is a way to change the world for the better. When Jessica (miniature rhino) and Rebecca (dropcloth samplers) reached out to us to see if we would donate a gift card for their Makers for Families fundraiser we immediately said "yes! how much?" This June 2018 our We Care Wednesday recipient is: Pride Youth Theater Alliance which is fiscally sponsored by the Theater Offensive. The Theatre Offensive's mission is to present the diversity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender lives in art so bold it breaks through personal isolation, challenges the status quo, and builds thriving communities. 2018 Kids Camp Scholarship

We have always wanted to offer a scholarship for families who could use some assistance in sending their kid to our summer sewing camp. This year the Cambridge Modern Quilt Guild has generously offered to raffle their 2017 Quiltcon Charity Quilt entry to provide scholarship funding! We are so freakin' excited to share this news and to help coordinate applications.
