Giving Tuesday 2018

Sunday, November 25, 2018, I went home after the store had closed. It had been a long day of the not-so-glamorous tasks of being a small business owner (opening the bills, scheduling payments, working on end of year tax paperwork, plugging in shipping costs, ordering office supplies, and editing photos of store samples) as well as interacting with members of the community who had come in to begin their holiday shopping and holiday crafting. Give the Gift of Warmth

Every year we ask the community to make something for others. This year we are collecting handmade winter accessories for our friends at On the Rise in Cambridge. Knit, crochet, or stitch something that will not only provide warmth but will also be a small symbol of a caring community. Drop off your handcrafted accessories by December 17, 2018 so we can deliver them to On the Rise in time for the holidays. Your donation also enters you into a raffle to win some very cool fiber-focused prizes. So get busy with your needles and hooks!

We Care Wednesday: Y2Y
