Warp Vest - 4 sessions

gather here Classes

We've been asked for an intarsia project and after checking out a bunch of projects chose the Warp Vest which is great for using up fingering scraps and choosing interesting color combinations (you really can't go wrong). If you haven't worked with Jamieson's Spindrift this would be an awesome project for that yarn. As would Rosa Pomar's Mondim. The vest is knit flat, fingering yarn held double to create the plaid. You can use a worsted weight yarn for the ribbing (neck, armholes, and waist). The pattern is size inclusive and you can knit it cropped or long.

We highly recommend doing a gauge swatch before the first class! Really. If you aren't sure what this means or need assistance, please don't hesitate to ask one of our craft associates.

Limited to 6 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: Intermediate. You can cast on, knit, purl and bind off, and aren't afraid of directions like "K2tog, SSK".
  • We provide: Measuring tapes, enthusiasm, and the expertise.
  • You bring: Yourself, a copy of the pattern , appropriate yarn and needles per the pattern (pattern was written for fingering weight yarn held double); we offer 15% off all supplies for our classes.
  • Class length: 2 1/2 hours each session & meets every 2 weeks

Sessions meet on Saturdays, July 6, 20, August 3, and 17 at 1:30pm
