Have you been looking for a way to use visible mending to repair your hand knit garments? Maybe some of your favorite clothes need a little love (ours always do!) and you want to learn how to easily darn socks or mend a hole in a sweater? The Katrinkles Darning & Mending Loom Kit includes all of the tools you need to repair a hole in a knitted garment, making it easy to do it yourself. Katy (of Katrinkles and maker of the Darning & Mending Loom) will walk you through the process and you will have enclosed simple instructions to refresh your memory later. You’ll be mending clothing and accessories in no time! Thanks to the unique construction of the Katrinkles Darning Loom, accomplishing more creative or complicated mends is easier than with a traditional darning egg or darning mushroom.
Limited to 10 students (16 yrs of age or older); 50% enrollment required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.
- We provide: A Katrinkles Darning Loom, Katy, and access to scissors while you work.
- You bring: yourself, a hand knit sock (or commercial knit sock) with or without a hole (ideal would be a hand knit sock with a hole to mend) - the elbow or wrist of a sweater sleeve would also be appropriate. And some fingering weight yarn (a few yards of a color that contrasts the sock will make it easier to see your work) - don't have leftover fingering weight yarn on hand? Appleton Crewel Wool is great for mending knits! Don't forget that we offer 15% off all supplies purchased for any of our workshop.

Please note: There are NO store credits given at any time for classes with special guest instructors and artists. Your seat may be transferred to a friend if you cannot attend.
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place.
Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.
