Machine Basics
Machine Basics
So you took Sewing Basics and were totally into it. But it’s been awhile and you aren’t 100% you remember how to wind your bobbin. And you may have forgotten how to thread the machine. And wait - what’s stitch length again?
We’ve created a refresher workshop for new machine owners (your machine must be in good working order - not sure? Visit our machine technician!) and/or studio time wannabe users! Hey, now you can come in for studio time feeling a bit more confident AND you’ll be able to make eye-contact with the front desk when you check in and they ask “do you know how to use a sewing machine?”
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: beginner
- We provide: the expertise, scrap fabric, and a machine (should you need one!)
- You bring: your sewing machine, foot control, power cord, presser feet (all of them - not some of them), an empty bobbin, the bobbin case (if you have a top-loader you won’t have one of these), a spool of thread (bring a color!), and your instruction manual. OR don’t a bring a thing and we’ll set you up on a Bernina which is like getting picked up in a really fancy car.
- 2 hours
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.
