Crochet Basics

Crochet Basics – trivet:  Interested in learning to crochet but not sure where to start?  We’ll teach you to chain, single-crochet, double-crochet, and how to read a basic pattern.  These stitches are the foundation of crochet! You'll be ready to tackle something a bit more complicated after this class.

Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  beginner - seriously, you have never picked up a crochet hook and that's totally fine!
  • We provide:  Everything – crochet hook, yarn, pattern and you get to take it all home!
  • You bring:  yourself
  • Class length: 2 1/2 hours

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
