Wonky Star Patchwork Potholder

A perfect project for a beginner quilter to try out improvisational piecing. We’ll highlight those irregular star shapes with some wonky angled quilt lines. Plus get practice with binding!

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: Beginner to Intermediate - You have successfully completed Quilting Basics. You know how to thread a machine, can sew a straight(ish) line, and are comfortable using a rotary cutter.
  • We provide:  tools, batting, machines, and expertise
  • You bring: 1 FQ for background color & potholder back; 1 FQ for binding; a variety of large scraps (minimum 9 pieces that are 4"x4” or larger). Don't forget that we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
  • Class length: 2 1/2 hours

Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
