 Its small size makes it a great beginner-friendly project, ideal for anyone wanting to try out intarsia colorwork without the commitment of a larger piece. Plus, it’s a quick, fun make that can be used on its own or incorporated into bigger projects like blankets or sweaters. Whether you’re decking out your home for Halloween or just love a bit of ghostly fun, this pattern is sure to delight!

The directions are for fingering weight yarn, but you can really make it with any yarn and hook to achieve gauge. The coaster is approximately 4"x4" in fingering weight yarn.

Limited to 5 students (17 years of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  adventurous beginner - you have taken Crochet Basics and Crochet II.
  • We provide:  scrap black fingering weight yarn for eyes and expertise.
  • You bring:  yourself, a copy of the pattern, yarn, and a size 2-3mm crochet hook.
    • Don't forget that we offer 15% off all materials purchased for class.
  • Class length: 2.5 hours

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
