Tana Lawn - Ohara Tulip
Note's from Liberty:
This design was inspired by Ohara Koson, a well-known Japanese woodblock artist who created traditional nature-inspired prints in the early 20th century. Its style mimics the woodblock prints of that era, with a simple composition and ombré background. The rainbow parrot tulip motif is painted in gouache, rendered in delicate washes and fine lines. This print is part of the Spectrum story of our Spring/Summer 2024 collection - influenced by eclectic modern art movements, from the bold complementary hues of Fauvism to the synesthete musicality of the Orphists, with designs paying tribute to a vibrant array of colourful phenomena and pigment conception.
