Learn flat patternmaking techniques and make a sloper using your measurements in this four session workshop intended for INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED GARMENT STITCHERS. Experience assembling garments and understanding how a garment is constructed is necessary to understanding next steps after creating a flat pattern. Students in this flat patternmaking class learn how to take body measurements and use them to draft a custom fitted bodice sloper and sleeve block.
From taking proper body measurements to using those measurements to draft the sloper and then making a muslin of your pattern, you'll learn flat patterndrafting techniques as well as flat pattern corrections.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: intermediate to advanced
- We provide: the expertise, tools, pattern paper, and machines.
- You bring: yourself, a calculator for math, and 2 yards of 45" wide muslin. Don't forget that we offer 15% off supplies purchased for class.
- Class length: 3 hours each session
Meets Sunday, August 2, 9, 16, and 23 at 2:30 PM
- Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.

Unused yarn, pre-cut fat-quarter bundles and un-opened notions, in their original condition, may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. We do not cover shipping costs for exchanges.
