Knitting - Summer Camp Kerchief
Knitting - Summer Camp Kerchief
The kerchief is all the rage this summer. So why not knit one? And since you're already knitting something new, why not try a new yarn? This would be lovely in our newest yarn addition, The Uncommon Thread Cloud Fingering. Or Manos Fino which is a blend of merino and silk.
The pattern comes in 3 variations so you can add rows of eyelets or not. Style in a variety of ways and keep those hot summer rays off your neck while hiking, strolling, sitting lake/sea-side. You'll learn (or practice) garter tab cast on, M1’s and YO’s, left-leaning and right-leaning eyelets, twisted rib.
Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: advanced beginner/intermediate - you are not a complete beginner because you have taken Knitting Basics, Knitting II, and probably something else that involves confidently knitting and purling.
- We provide: moral support and expertise.
- You bring: yourself, a copy of the pattern, a stitch marker, size 4 knitting needles (we recommend a 24" cable), and really any fingering weight. You could use a heavier weight of yarn but your kerchief may look more like a shawl.
- Don't forget that we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours
