Have you been curious about knitting intarsia? How about short rows? This small, portable, travel friendly project will help you practice BOTH techniques. AND you create a bold, graphic, fun coaster(s). You'll also learn provisional cast on with a crochet hook and weaving yarn best practices since you'll likely see the BACK side of these coasters.
Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: adventurous beginner/intermediate - you've successfully completed Knitting Basics and Knitting II.
- We provide: Plenty of space, waste yarn, and encouragement.
- You bring: yourself, a copy of the hana pattern, approximately 40 yards of worsted/aran yarn in contrasting colors. Size US4 needles or whatever you need to get gauge in straight or circular, size G/H crochet hook, and a tapestry needle. (Gauge is not crucial to this project but will affect the size and the amount of yarn used.) We offer 15% off all materials purchased for class.
