Emotional Support Chicken - 2 sessions
gather here Classes
Everyone is knitting a chicken it seems. And not any chicken. An Emotional Support Chicken TM. (Emotional Support Water Bottles are still necessary.) And as we start worrying about summer coming to an end (perhaps more apparent when you live in Greater Boston and all the colleges prepare for the students to return) we thought it was time to knit an Emotional Support Chicken ourselves.
"You can create your own magical comfort chicken, that doesn’t need a permit to always be with you! It is loveable and huggable and you don’t even have to feed it to love you back!" - designed by Annette Corsino for Knitting Tree LA. A modification of a 1997 felted chicken pattern by the late Beverly Galaskas.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate. You can cast on, knit, purl and bind off. This is NOT your first knitting class.
- We provide: The space, safety eyes (unless you'd prefer buttons), stuffing, and the expertise.
- You bring: Yourself, a copy of the pattern, approx. 200 - 250 yards of worsted weight yarn, a circular needle in US7 (unless you decide to knit a bulky chicken and then you'll want US9, and stitch markers. We offer 15% off supplies purchased for any of our classes.
- Class length: 2.5 hours each session. You will need to knit between classes if you want to join your chicken parts.
