Eleanor Dress Pattern - PDF DOWNLOAD

The Eleanor Dress is a timeless and customizable pattern you'll return to again and again. With a fitted bodice, gently flared skirt, and classic silhouette, it's designed to celebrate beautiful prints in flowy fabrics like viscose and silk (while working equally well in soft cottons and linens).

The bodice sits at the natural waist and features double bust and waist darts, with a high jewel neckline, finished with facings. The skirt is panelled into a gently flared A-line shape in your choice of mini or midi length, with optional in-seam pockets.

• View A has a refined silhouette with a closed jewel neckline in front and back. The sleeve ends above the elbow with a gentle puff at the shoulder, and the dress closes with an invisible zipper.
• View B is flirtier and more open with a short cap sleeve and a double keyhole neckline finished with a button in the front. Semi-open in the back, the back panels close with two buttons, while the skirt is secured with an invisible elastic band and invisible zipper.

Recommended Fabrics:

Choose a drapey woven like silk, viscose, tencel or rayon challis for a more elegant or fluid effect. Lightweight wovens like linen, cotton lawn, batiste, voile and chambray will have a more casual feel.

Materials Needed:

• Lightweight fusible interfacing, 0.25 yd (0.25 m)
• Matching thread
• View A: Invisible zipper, 1 x 22" (55 cm)
• View B: Invisible zipper, 1 x 6" (15 cm)
• View B: Elastic cord, 8" (20 cm) to secure buttons
  • Can be substituted with fabric loops made using the included pattern piece
• View B: Fabric covered buttons or shank buttons, 3 x 3/8" (10 mm)
• View B: Elastic, 1/2" (13 mm) wide
  • Sizes 34-48: 1 yd (0.9 m)
