Denham Jacket Pattern
Denham Jacket Pattern
- only 4 left in stock
Inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat mid-season piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.
Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of other Merchant & Mills patterns. Carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.
This is a paper pattern that includes sizes UK 6-18 or 18-28. All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.
Skill level: Intermediate
Recommended Fabric:
Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 8 -12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured jacket.
For linings we suggest M&M barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise - cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, and slip linings.
Materials Needed:
- 1 x Matching thread
- 16 x 3/4" buttons*
- If making an unlined jacket, you will need 1/2 YD of lining for the pocket bags
- *Optional - 3 smaller buttons can be used on the tab and lapel, in which case you will need: 13 x 3/4" and 3 x 1/2" buttons
