Buttondown Shirt - 3 sessions

gather here Classes

Grainline's Archer, thread theory's Fairfield, or Cashmerette's Harrison

Looking for a slim-fitting button-down there's thread theory's Fairfield. Grainline's Archer is a classic relaxed-fit button up shirt with a small scale collar. Cashmerette's Harrison is designed for those who are tired of bust gapping.

A fantastic way to learn the in's and out's of tailoring and get a lovely shirt out of the exercise. Set a sleeve, make a continuous placket and get some practice making buttonholes. Plus lengthen and/or shorten to FIT YOU! That's the point of sewing, isn't it?

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

      • Level:  intermediate/advanced. You have successfully completed School of Sewing or have taken other garment construction classes.
        • We provide:  the expertise, Swedish tracing paper, tools, and machines.
          • You bring:  yourself, a copy of the pattern (available in-store or online), fabric per the pattern, interfacing, buttons, and coordinating thread (if you care about topstitching - there is a lot of topstitching - bring thread that either compliments or disappears). Don't forget that we offer 15% off supplies purchased for class.
            • Class length: 4 hours each session
