July 2023 - We Care Wednesday

As many of you already know, we are the July Craftivism project for Abortion Access Front's "Craft a Pro-Abortion Future" yearlong series organized by craftivist and artist, Shannon Downey aka Badass Cross Stitch. What an honor to be a part of this fundraiser. You can receive a copy of the pattern when you make a $10+ direct donation to Abortion AF but as overachievers we will also be using our We Care Wednesday initiative to raise additional for this badass organization.

Abortion Access Front is a team of comedians, activists, writers, and producers that uses humor to destigmatize abortion and expose the extremist anti-choice forces working to destroy access to reproductive rights in all 50 states. Abortion AF’s work is to normalize abortion, celebrate those who provide it, and fight like hell to keep it accessible and legal.

Post-Dobbs anti-abortion legislation is happening all over the country and we need to do more than complain about it. We also need to STOP shaming people for the 2016 election (unless you are shaming privileged white women who voted for the orange asshat to protect their proximity to power - go ahead, shame them and unfriend them). We need to ORGANIZE and PROVIDE access to abortion wherever it is needed. You can learn more about getting involved on the AAF Operation Save Abortion page.

Make a $10+ donation and get our awesome 🎈 "R-E-S-I-S-T" embroidery pattern designed by former embroidery instructor, Marissa.

Become a sustaining supporter and help AAF secure a predictable income.

And use your skills to be most helpful in the Pro-Abortion Movement.

*Since launching the We Care Wednesday initiative in January 2017 we have donated over $72,918 to a variety of nonprofits and mutual aid funds doing essential work in our community as well as other places. From the Mayor's Disaster Fund to BAGLY to Movement Voter Project and Found In Translation. We select organizations that we feel represent not only our commitment to a better, more equitable world but also our desire to "do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."
