Make a functional pouch with a zipper and a super-cool fabric tab. With a wide base this bag can stand on its own and you'll love that you made something so functional. A great follow up to Sewing Basics and a nice introduction to interfacing.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

We provide: The studio space, fabric, tools, pattern, machines, and expertise.
You bring: Yourself and your sense of adventure!
Class length: 3 hours

Online participants will:

Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.

Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.
*Some Sewing Classes may be scheduled for our downstairs studio. Please contact us if you would prefer not to navigate stairs and we will switch studios.

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place.

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
