Youth School of Quilting - 6 sessions

Meets Saturday morning from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Students will learn how to measure and cut fabric to piece a throw sized star quilt. We'll discuss the principles of color and pattern in quilting as well as the techniques necessary to finish a quilt. Students will actually use the sewing machine to quilt and then bind their quilts by hand. If time permits students can further personalize their quilts using hand embroidery.

Limited to 4 students (ages 9-15). Students should have previous sewing machine experience. Completing previous sewing camps, Kids Are Alright, or equivalent.

  • We provide:  materials, tools, and instruction
  • You bring:  yourself and your ideas
  • Class length: 2 hours each session.

Youth School of Quilting meets on Saturdays, September 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21 at 10:30 AM.

Please note this class is IN PERSON ONLY
*Some Sewing Classes may be scheduled for our downstairs studio. Please contact us if you would prefer not to navigate stairs and we will switch studios.
Note that masks are required for workshop & studio time participants.
