Youth School of Fashion - 6 sessions
Youth School of Fashion - 6 sessions
A six week comprehensive sewing skill-building workshop for kids ages 9 to 15. We have designed this series for young makers that have successfully completed Youth School of Sewing I and II and are interested in making more clothing. Students will select 1 of 6 garment patterns and learn all the steps to using a commercial sewing pattern, including how to read the pattern, what pattern markings mean, when to make a mockup, make alterations, and ultimately, make a garment. Over the course of six weeks students will gain confidence using sewing tools, machines, and more.
Just like our Adult garment series, students will kick things off with selecting their pattern and fabric with the assistance of the instructor. All material are included in this series.
If a student has previously attended Youth School of Sewing and are looking for a more self-guided sewing period, you may want to sign them up for Youth Open Sew. Open Sew gives students access to tools and machines as well as instructor expertise. Students must provide their own pattern and materials.
