Jeni Baker of In Color Order released the #VOTE miniquilt pattern on September 23, 2020. And just like 2020, we are faced with the election of a lifetime - an election that will decide if we bravely move forward or go back. And y'all know, We Aren't Going Back. So download the pattern, gather your materials, and start cutting!

We’re hosting a help session for anyone not sure how to assemble the letters or piece the blocks. All photos/graphics copyright In Color Order.

Limited to 5 participants (16 yrs of age or older); 2 participants required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  Adventurous Beginner.  You've taken sewing and/or quilting basics.
  • We provide:  expertise and encouragement!
  • You bring:  Yourself, the pattern available here and materials per the pattern:

- 1.5" wide blue strips (or any color you'd like)
- 1.5" wide white scraps
- 21"x23" piece of batting (we are happy to donate some batting to your miniquilt!)
- 21"x23" piece of backing fabric
- 1/4 yard of binding fabric

  • Class length:  3 hours
Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.
*Some Sewing Classes may be scheduled for our downstairs studio. Please contact us if you would prefer not to navigate stairs and we will switch studios.

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
