Stare Hat - two sessions

What we love about this hat: knit from the bottom up, charted, two-color stranded colorwork, and knit in the round. PLUS the perfect cat stare.

Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: CONFIDENT beginner/intermediate - you've knit a hat. You know your knits from your purls and can knit in the round. Seriously - this is NOT your first hat.
  • We provide: the expertise, great company, and we want to talk to you about your cat.
  • You bring: yourself, a copy of the pattern (available in-store), two colors of DK weight yarn and needles appropriate for the pattern. We highly recommend using two contrasting colors for maximum "pop"!
    • Don't forget that we offer 15% off supplies purchased for class.
  • Class length: 2-1/2 hours each session for 5 hours total.

Sessions run on Monday, September 23 and 30 at 6:30pm.

Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
