Shirt No. 2 - Serger - 2 sessions

Shirt No. 2 - Serger - 2 sessions

Gain confidence on the serger and learn about the coverstitch machine! You'll make a simple scoop neck knit shirt with short or long sleeves with professional finishes. Any cotton jersey works great for this shirt. It is imperative that you pre-wash your fabric.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: Adventurous Beginner, you have taken serger basics (or the equivalent) and are confident using a rotary cutter.
  • We provide: The expertise, the tools and pattern tracing paper.
  • You bring: a copy of the pattern, and fabric appropriate for your measurements (make sure you buy fabric based on the fabric width). Don't forget we offer 15% off all materials purchased for one of our classes!
  • Class length: 2 1/2 hours each session for a total of 5 hours.

Sessions run on Wednesday, August 23 and 30 at 5:30 PM.

Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
You may be asked to mask. Thank you for your understanding.
*Some Sewing Classes may be scheduled for our downstairs studio. Please contact us if you would prefer not to navigate stairs and we will switch studios.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
