Rigid Heddle Loom Basics - 3 sessions

Over this 3 day weekend we will learn all about table top rigid heddle looms, parts of the loom, warping the project, and working on a single heddle two color hand towel or dish cloths. On the third day we'll demonstrate how to wet finish your weaving and hem.

Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

    • Level:  Absolute Beginner - perhaps you've taken Weaving 101 on a pop-out loom.
      • We provide:  the looms, organic cotton yarn, tools, space, and the pattern.
        • You bring:  yourself! Don't forget that we offer 15% off supplies purchased for class.
          • Class length: 4 hours each session
          • Don’t forget lunch or snacks! Or visit one of the great local eateries in Inman Square! 

          Weekend Intensive begins on Friday, July 8-10 at 11:30 AM.

          Online participants will:
          • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
          • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
          Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

          Last minute cancellations

          Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

          Class Credits

          Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

          Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

          Class Materials

          All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
          Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
