A wonderful introduction to the world of coat making, Opium is a swing coat with modernized retro flair. It can be worn buttoned and wide, or cinched with a belt for an hourglass silhouette. Its raglan sleeves and simple style lines make for an easy construction, with just the right amount of details to keep it interesting.

Fully lined with a notched collar and origami welt pockets, it's a must-have in your winter wardrobe!

  • Version A has a swingy silhouette and closes with snaps or buttons.
  • Version B is belted.

Recommended Fabrics:

Melton wool, boiled wool, Loden, wool gabardine. Lining: rayon bemberg, silk. Allow extra fabric to match stripes or plaids.

Materials Needed:

  • Non-stretch fusible woven interfacing (c.f. table for yardage)
  • 2.75 yards iron-on seam tape interfacing
  • Version A: 2 x large sew-on snaps
