Bag Features
- Version 1: Fabric Straps & Version 2: Leather Straps - Interior zipper pocket, 4 external pockets, reinforced base, and a magnetic snap closure. Can be made on a home sewing machine with fabric of your choosing. - Dimensions: 11.5"W x 13"H x 5"D
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Adventurous and Confident Beginner/Intermediate . You know how to thread a machine, sew a straight line and wind a bobbin. You’ve made your fair share of tote bags and zipper bags.
- We provide: Tools, thread, expertise, and encouragement!
- You bring: Yourself, a copy of the pattern (available in the store), fabric and notions per pattern. Yes, we do have Oberlin bag notions kits! Don't forget that we offer 15% off all materials purchased for our classes.
- Class length: 3 hours each session for 6 hours total
Class meets Monday, June 17 and 24 at 5:30 PM
- Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
- Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
*Some Sewing Classes may be scheduled for our downstairs studio. Please contact us if you would prefer not to navigate stairs and we will switch studios.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place.
Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.
Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.
Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
