Foundation Paperpiecing: Butterfly charm blocks
Using a pattern available from Lilly Ella Stitchery, we’ll be exploring more complex foundation paper piecing techniques. These adorable blocks finish to 5” square, so you can sew up more to make a whole flock of butterflies, or use as a detail piece in a larger project.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Intermediate - You have some basic familiarity with paper piecing (like the Illusion Block) and are ready to try more complicated designs.
- We provide: The studio space, tools, printed copies of the pattern (we recommend downloading a pdf copy of the pattern!), and expertise.
- You bring: Yourself, 6 colors for each butterfly, bring large scraps in different colors (3” to 10” pieces), or a handful of charm squares (5”). You’ll need a larger piece of fabric for the background color (8-10”).
- Class length: 2.5 hours.

Unused yarn, pre-cut fat-quarter bundles and un-opened notions, in their original condition, may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. We do not cover shipping costs for exchanges.
We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase and a store credit within 30 days of purchase.
Non-returnable items:
Cut to order fabrics, all books and patterns, gift cards, classes as well as downloadable products. These can be replaced if damaged in shipping.
