Everyday Apron

gather here Classes

We chose the Unruly Nature Apron from Ruby Star Society for this project because we thought it would be useful to learn how to utilize free project sheets (like this one) to sew something new. There are so many free projects available on the internet but they often are sparse on instructions and assume you know how to fold, cut, and use templates.

If you've stitched a canvas bag, this is a great way to continue practicing sewing with heavier fabrics but also a wonderful way to get some experience cutting and stitching curves.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  Adventurous Beginner. You know how to thread a machine, can sew a straight line, and are comfortable cutting fabric. You have successfully made a tote bag (sewing basics) and zipper box bag (Sewing II).
  • We provide:  The studio space, machines, tools, and expertise.
  • You bring:  Fabric you love! Recommended fabrics are: heavy-weight non-stretch denim or canvas, linen or linen/cotton blend canvas, coordinating thread and a sew-in snap. Don't forget that we offer 15% off materials purchased for any of our classes.
  • Class length: 3 hours
Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.
*Some Sewing Classes may be scheduled for our downstairs studio. Please contact us if you would prefer not to navigate stairs and we will switch studios.
