Crochet Tobago Bag - 2 sessions

This eye-catching crochet bag is made from three colorful motifs sewn together for a cross-body bag that’s just big enough to hold your summer essentials – sunglasses, keys, a good book, and some sunscreen. Play around with colors to make a Tobago Bag for each of your warm-weather getaways.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  Adventurous Beginner.  You've taken crochet basics and perhaps you've crocheted a couple wash cloths.
  • We provide:  expertise and encouragement! We'll also have some wooden beads (as pictured) if you want them for the drawstring!
  • You bring:  Yourself, a size E and G hook, a copy of Toni Lipsey's pattern, and approximately 350 - 400 yards of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Lionbrand 24/7 cotton).
    • Don't forget that we offer 15% off all materials purchased for our classes.
  • Class length:  2 1/2 hours per session.

Class meets Wednesday, May 7 and 14 at 6 PM

Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
