Beginner Improv Piecing Studio
If you’ve wanted to try a more improvisational look to your quilt designs, we’ll explore some basic techniques in this class to help you get started. We’ll practice strip piecing for making stripes and dots, wedge shapes, gentle curves, and how to assemble the pieces into a larger design. This class is all about experimenting and stretching our brains to get inspired about all the ways you can apply improv piecing in our own designs.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Experienced Beginner. You’ve taken Quilting I and II.
- We provide: The pattern, studio space, tools, and expertise.
- You bring: yourself, Plenty of fabric and scraps from your stash to practice with. A handful of coordinating quarter yard fabrics is a good beginning, but having plenty of fabrics can give you more to experiment with. Don't forget we offer 15% off all materials for any of our workshops.
