TN31 Parka Hood Addition - PDF DOWNLOAD

This is a PDF pattern that will give you the relevant pattern pieces to make a hood for the TN31 Parka. There are two options, you can either make a hood that is detachable with buttons or a hood that gets sewn in. This includes the pattern pieces and instructions for both options.

Please note you have to already have the TN31 Parka pattern in order to make this, these are just the additional pattern pieces with instructions for those parts.

Also note that the new TN34 Parka pattern already contains the hood as part of the pattern. This hood addition is only for those with the now-discontinued TN31.

Format: This is a multi-size digital PDF pattern sent to your email.

• This PDF pattern is made up of 1 A0 page and 20 A4 (or US Letter) pages.

PDF's will include a tiled file, an A0 copy shop file, and your instructions. The tiled file can be used on any home printer and pieced together. It is compatible with both A4 and US letter paper. The instructions can either be printed at home or simply follow along on your computer or phone.

All seam allowances are 1cm unless otherwise stated.

Recommended Fabric:

Dry Oilskin, Oilskin (lined version only), Tweed, Woollens, Cotton Drill, Cotton Canvas, Waterproofed Cottons and Linens. Using something like oilskin will ensure it keeps it structural shape, but we think it would look equally good in something more slinky like a Tencel Twill.

For the ribbing neckline, it is recommended to use rib that stretches by half again, i.e. 10cm pieces stretches to 15cm. 

For the lining, it is recommended to use fabrics such as brushed cotton, cotton poplin, or a medium weight slip lining in viscose or acetate.

Notions:

• 6 x buttons,  approximately 17-22mm (M&M recommends Corozo buttons)
