Juniper Beanie - 2 sessions

The Juniper Beanie by A. Opie Designs uses 3 colors of Ikigai Fibers Chibi Paka Chunky. Currently on display in the shop, the beanie features a repeating juniper berry motif giving it a touch of whimsy, while the snug ribbed brim keeps things comfy and warm. Equal parts cozy and cheerful — the kind of hat that helps make winter feel like spring in disguise. Prepare for the colder months or make the coziest gift!

Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: experienced beginner/intermediate - you've knit a hat. You know your knits from your purls and can knit in the round. Seriously - this is NOT your first hat or your first time working with circular needles.
  • We provide: the expertise, great company, and we want to talk to you about your cat.
  • You bring: yourself, a copy of the pattern (available in-store), three colors of chunky weight yarn - hat pictured is knit in Ikigai Chibi Paka Chunky. Size 8 and 9 16" circular and/or DPN needles, and a stitch marker. We have pompom makers available if you want to add the last touch of whimsy!
    • Don't forget that we offer 15% off supplies purchased for class.
  • Class length: 2-1/2 hours each session for 5 hours total.

Sessions run on Tuesday, November 3 and 10 at 6:30 PM

Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will credit your gather here account.

Please email us at with any class cancellation requests. A reply email will have your credit info attached.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
