Embroidery Club - Botanicals - 4 sessions

gather here Classes

Time for our second session of Embroidery Club! In this session we'll be exploring Yumiko Higuchi's beautiful book, A Year of Embroidery: A Month-to-Month Collection of Motifs for Seasonal Stitching. We'll first choose our pattern (there are so many options!) and discuss how best to transfer the pattern and which stitches to use. All of this while hanging out with other stitchers, either in person or online. This workshop is for all skill levels so even if you've just taken Embroidery Basics, please join us!

Limited to 6 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  Adventurous Beginner - you have some skill threading a needle.
  • We provide: a copy of Yumiko's book, a hoop, a package of embroidery needles, a blank cotton tote bag, and expertise.
  • You bring: Yourself and any special colors of floss that you may want for your project. This workshop will meet in the shop as well as be streamed online so you can attend however you feel most comfortable.
  • Class length:  2 hours per session. The club will meet the last Tuesday of each month from May through August.

Class meets Tuesdays, May 28, June 25, July 30, and August 27 at 6 PM.

Online participants will:
  • Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
  • Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
Note that masks are still required for workshop & studio time participants.
