Botanical Bundle Dye Workshop

In this introductory workshop, we will cover the basics of natural dyeing - using plants and other things from nature to dye textiles. We will explore bundle dyeing (patterned), dyeing with botanically sourced solid colors, and using tie dye or shibori techniques. Lisa Purdy leads this 3 hour workshop and will share her experience dyeing in her kitchen, sourcing plants and other natural products, as well as pro-tips on what you may want to dye next!
Limited to 8 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Beginner!
- We provide: studio space, tools, pots, ingredients, fabric to test dye colors and techniques, a silk kerchief to dye, and expertise.
- You bring: YOURSELF! Please wear clothes you aren't afraid will get wet or dyed. Aprons are awesome!
- Class length 3 hours
Online participants will:
- Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
- Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.
