Botanical Bundle Dye Workshop
In this introductory workshop, we will cover the basics of natural dyeing - using plants and other things from nature to dye textiles. We will explore bundle dyeing (patterned), dyeing with botanically sourced solid colors, and using tie dye or shibori techniques. Lisa Purdy leads this 3ish hour workshop and will share her experience dyeing in her kitchen, sourcing plants and other natural products, as well as pro-tips on what you may want to dye next!
Limited to 8 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Beginner!
- We provide: studio space, tools, pots, ingredients, fabric to test dye colors and techniques, a silk kerchief to dye, and expertise.
- You bring: YOURSELF! Please wear clothes you aren't afraid will get wet or dyed. Aprons are awesome!
- Class length 3ish hours
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place.
Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
