In January 2017 we launched our We Care Wednesday initiative. By donating 5% of our sales each Wednesday, we were able to raise $800 for Food for Free. This kind of targeted weekly giving is just another way we can focus our community-based business on doing good in all the ways we can.
We are pleased to announce that in February, the recipient of our fundraising effort will be local non-profit, Transition House. Transition House was the first domestic violence shelter to open on the East Coast and they have been supporting the community for over 40 years. Their mission to break the cycle of domestic violence in the community is one we feel our own maker community would be proud to support.
So when you need to pick up some notions or have a new fiber project you've been considering tackling, come in on a Wednesday and make your purchase truly make a difference.
