Botanical Bundle Dye Workshop

In this introductory workshop, we will cover the basics of natural dyeing - using plants and other things from nature to dye textiles. Bundle dyeing is an innovative process which by-passes the need for a dye pot, allowing for the direct transfer of natural dyes onto fabric and saturating the fibers. In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the basics of natural dyeing including how to prepare your fabric and use local foraged local plants and flowers as well as food scraps as your dye material.

Limited to 8 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level: Beginner!
  • We provide: EVERYTHING! studio space, tools, ingredients, fabric to test dye colors and techniques, a silk kerchief to dye, and expertise.
  • You bring: YOURSELF! Please wear clothes you aren't afraid will get wet or dyed. Aprons are awesome!
  • Class length 3ish hours

Last minute cancellations

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place. 

Class Credits

Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Class Materials

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
