The Portsmith is a minimal, workhorse of a tote that will quickly become your everyday go-to. With sturdy leather straps, metal rivets, and a reinforced base, the Portsmith is way more durable than your average market tote. It’s also a perfect pattern for beginning bag makers!

- (2) 3/4” x 28” 6–8 oz leather tote straps
- (8) Leather washers
- (8) Metal double-cap rivets
- (1) 3/4" metal D-ring
- (1) Sew-in “I MADE THIS” label
Tools Needed:
- Rotary punch OR 3/32" size drive punch with poly cutting board
- Hammer OR mallet + double-cap rivet setter
- Hard surface—a scrap of quartz, metal anvil, kitchen counter, or concrete floor
- Edgestitch Presser Foot
- Denim Needle
- All-Purpose Thread
- Fabric Pencil or Chaco Liner
- Craft Clips
