Mending - Cross Stitch

This technique is a great way to visibly mend woven or knit clothing utilizing cross stitching to show off your own pixel artwork or personalize your mending with existing cross stitch patterns. You will learn about the supplies & material that make this technique easy enough for a complete beginner with opportunity for design that will engage more experienced stitchers.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund. 

• Level:  you have taken embroidery basics or cross stitch and are wondering what to do with your skills. You have holes in your clothes.
• We provide:  the expertise! cross stitch waste canvas and soluble canvas! Scissors and stitch instruction. If you are struggling with a design, we will also have some simple cross stitch patterns to use.
• You bring:  yourself, one garment for mending/embellishing (can be woven or knit), embroidery floss/perl cotton in colors you want to showcase or that work with the design you have in mind, needle(s). Don't forget we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops!
• Class length:  2 1/2 hours
