Thanksgiving Day - CLOSED
Thanksgiving Day - CLOSED
Free Event
While we love you all, we also love hanging out with our family and friends eating tasty fall foods like pumpkin pie. So we're closed today and we hope that you are spending the day with loved ones. Safe travels and may you find time to make something between bites!
Because we like hanging out and eating pie so much, we are also CLOSED on Black Friday. We hope you'll forgive us for taking another day to reflect on all that we've been fortunate enough to have, share, and dream of. We'll reopen on Saturday for Small Business Saturday. Thank you for everything! xo
gather here acknowledges the sacred land where we make things, practice fiber craft, teach, live, and build community, which has been a site of human activity for 13,000 years. This land is the traditional unceded territory of the Massachusett and their neighbors the Wampanoag, and Nipmuc Peoples, who have stewarded this land for hundreds of generations. Thanksgiving has been celebrated as a national holiday in the United States since 1863, mythologizing the violent events that followed European arrival into a story of friendship and mutual sharing. But the reality is that the Wampanoag People’s generosity was met with genocide, and this truth has been systematically suppressed in the US education system and government. The 2023 National Day of Mourning will livestream from the UAINE Facebook Group , Youtube, and from the uaine.org website. 12 PM ET, Plymouth, Massachusetts. An annual tradition since 1970, Day of Mourning is a solemn, spiritual and highly political day. Organized by the United American Indians of New England (UAINE).
