Fabric Collage Mini Quilt

Loosen up your quilting practice and explore design through play. Using fabric scraps, stitching, and optional mixed materials, you’ll create a fabric collage mini quilt while learning simple composition techniques. This class is all about experimenting, trusting your eye, and discovering new creative possibilities. Our goal is to introduce and/or hone design and composition principles as well as experimenting with a variety of hand and/or machine sewn construction techniques.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

• Level:  Confident beginner/Intermediate - you have successfully completed Quilting Basics or equivalent.
• We provide: expertise, machines, batting & muslin (10” pieces; one for technique practice, one final project piece), and tools.
• You bring:a variety of scrap fabrics, any size neutral fabrics for background (10 x 10” or larger), Binding fabric 42 x 2.5” cut from yardage. Optional: Double-sided fusible interfacing, Perle cotton thread, embroidery floss, yarn, small embroidery hoop, any non-traditional quilting material (mesh produce bags, beads, apparel fabrics, etc). Don't forget that we offer 15% off supplies purchased for class.
