Weaving 101
Mini Tapestry
Learn the basics of weaving and create a fabulous tapestry at the same time. You will learn how to warp the loom as well as three weaving patterns: tabby, soumac, and rya fringe. We'll discuss various yarns weights and we'll experiment with different fibers. You will take home your loom and tools so you can continue exploring weaving after the workshop.
Limited to 6 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: beginner
- We provide: looms, a variety of yarn to experiment with. You must register with enough time for you to pickup or have us deliver or ship your kit (USPS can take up to a week to deliver outside of Boston).
- You bring: yourself!
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours
- Need to pickup supplies prior to the class session.
- Receive a Zoom invitation link the morning of the workshop.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place.
Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

Class Materials
All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
Intermediate and advanced classes often require that you bring your own materials; please check the class description for a complete materials list.
