I read this many times as "sweat shop" and perhaps we should all agree to call it the Candy Shop Blanket. We love this design since it is very much the knit version of a half-square triangle quilt block.
The Sweet Shop Blanket is constructed using 4 different types of square which are joined using short rows and picking up stitches. No seaming required! You can add as many squares as you wish to make a square or rectangular blanket. And this is a great scrap buster or mini-skein exploration. Note: we have no illusion of making a blanket in one session. But we do think we can start knitting and demonstrate how to join so you can keep going on your own.
Limited to 5 students (17 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Advanced Beginner - Intermediate (you know how to knit, purl, cast on and cast off.) You know what a short row is, maybe you've even given them a try.
- We provide: moral support, expertise, and great company
- You bring: a copy of the pattern, and fingering weight yarn (it is held double so you could also use DK weigh yarn), this project is knit flat so you can use straight or circular needles in a size appropriate for your yarn (suggested needle US7). We think this afghan will look awesome in BT's Dapple.
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours
Note that masks are required on Mondays. You may be asked to mask on other days.

Last minute cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any cancellations with less than 72 hours notice. Of course, if you can’t make a class at the last minute you can always send someone in your place.
Class Credits
Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes/workshops are non-refundable. However, if you let us know at least 72 hours in advance, we will transfer you to another class of your choosing or credit your gather here account.

All materials are included in our 'Basics' classes.
