Carolyn Denham and Roderick Field founded Merchant & Mills in 2010 to bring English bespoke traditions to sewing patterns, scissors, and notions. Their goal was to elevate sewing in the creative world, respect its craftsmanship, and inspire people to make their own clothes.

Sustainable cloth and fabric are more than the fiber content or production process. Composed of flax, linen is durable, biodegradable and energy efficient to produce. Growing flax requires little more than rainwater and the whole plant can be used in linen production.
